Human Trafficking

Protect What You Love

Human trafficking is a form of modern slavery that occurs in every state, including South Carolina. Traffickers use force, fraud, or coercion to lure their victims and force them into labor or commercial sexual exploitation. People are being trafficked in the state of South Carolina and if you don't believe me, all you need to do is  look on the Internet, on Backpage.com or Craigslist and you will see the advertisements out there.

I will fight to train our community to help identify a victim and understand what steps to take. I will work to protect and help individuals who have been victimized. There are many House Bills before congress now that I will support that could help enhance services for runaway and homeless victims for youth trafficking, as well as those assisting the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
